Online Slots Licence

Slots are the highest-margin product in iGaming — and the most certification-heavy. Operate a slots site and you license like any casino — from about €17,000 a year offshore; supply the games and you certify them (GLI/RNG) instead. We cover both sides.

overview

What you actually need.

There is no standalone “slots licence” — slots are authorised under a casino operator licence if you run the site, or a B2B supplier licence if you build and distribute the games. Picking the wrong one is the classic first-timer mistake, and it's expensive: the two licences have different regulators' expectations, different costs and different counterparties.

If you operate: any of the offshore casino routes (Anjouan, KUNAISA, Tobique) covers slots alongside table games and live dealer, from €17,828 a year, live in about a month. Your slots come from certified studios via supply agreements or an aggregator — their certificates ride along, and you don't re-certify third-party content.

If you make games: you need the supplier-side authorisation your operator clients will ask for at onboarding, plus RNG certification for each game engine from an accredited lab (GLI-19 or iTech Labs are the standards). That's a different page of our practice — see the B2B supplier licence — but we run both sides, including the lab work.

Operator = casino licenceRunning a slots site is legally operating a casino — one offshore licence covers your whole game lobby.
Supplier = B2B licenceStudios and aggregators need supplier authorisation + RNG certificates, not an operator licence.
Certification is separableThird-party games arrive pre-certified. You only buy lab time for proprietary titles.

Anjouan, KUNAISA or Tobique casino licence — full lobby coverage, aggregator-friendly, 0% GGR tax, about a month to live.

02Slots site, banking-led

Curaçao or Kahnawake when card acquiring is the priority — the recognisable offshore names for PSP underwriting.

FAQ

Is there a licence just for slots?

No — slots fall under a casino operator licence (if you run the site) or a B2B supplier licence (if you make/distribute the games). Offshore operator licences cover slots together with table games, live dealer and usually poker.

Do I need to certify every slot on my site?

No. Games from third-party studios arrive with their own certificates. You only pay for lab certification (GLI-19 / iTech Labs) on proprietary games you built yourself.

What does a slots site licence cost?

From €17,828/yr (Anjouan) or €19,500/yr (KUNAISA, incl. two domains). Curaçao — €47,450/yr plus application — buys the strongest offshore banking recognition.

I'm building a slot game studio — which licence?

The supplier-side authorisation (see our B2B gaming supplier page) plus RNG certification per game engine. Operators will ask for both at integration. We run studio files end to end, including the lab process.

What RTP rules apply?

Offshore regulators require RTP disclosure rather than fixed minimums; tier-1 regimes set market-specific rules. Practically, aggregators and studios set commercial RTP ranges — we flag anything in your plan a regulator would question before filing.
