What's here, and why it's free

The License Index is the part nobody else has: 8,927 gaming and crypto licences pulled straight from 14 official regulator registers — Anjouan, Curaçao, the UK, Malta, EU MiCA, Dubai's VARA and more — normalised into one schema and refreshed weekly. It's the only place you can see, in a single view, how many licences a jurisdiction has actually issued and how fast that number is moving. It's free to reuse under CC BY 4.0, every dataset has a machine-readable JSON download, and we're transparent about the jurisdictions where no public register exists to track at all.

Around it sits the rest of the trust layer. Enforcement Radar mirrors regulators' own revocations and warning lists — including the look-alike domains that pose as real regulators; the Licence Checker lets a payment provider, platform or affiliate verify an operator's domain against all of it in one search; Operator Movements shows where the market is heading; and Regulatory Changes catches rule edits the week they happen.

The Licence Finder and Cost Calculator turn the questions we answer every day — which regulator fits, what it costs, how long it takes — into something you can work through yourself. The Finder compares every licence side by side by regulator, timeline, capital and tax; the Calculator budgets a specific route end to end, application fees through ongoing costs. The Glossary decodes the acronyms — B2C, VASP, CASP, GGR, RNG — so the rest of the site reads plainly.

We publish all of it because an informed operator is an easier client: fewer wrong turns, sharper questions, faster applications. If you'd rather skip the research entirely, that's what we're for — see what we do across 40+ jurisdictions, or book a call and we'll map the route with you.

Questions

Are these resources really free?

Yes — every tool and dataset here is free to use with no sign-up. The License Index is also free to republish under a CC BY 4.0 licence, as long as you credit Vantegris with a link.

How current is the data?

The License Index re-reads each official regulator register on a weekly schedule and records what changed since the last pull. A few registers that don't publish a machine-readable feed are refreshed manually and marked accordingly on each dataset page.

Can I cite the License Index in an article or report?

Please do. Cite it as "Vantegris License Index" with a link to the dataset page you used; each page also offers a machine-readable JSON download, and we can share historical snapshots on request.

Do you actually help get the licence, or just provide the tools?

Both. These resources exist so you can research a route yourself — but if you'd rather hand it over, we file and manage the full application, from company structure to submission and renewals, across every jurisdiction we cover.
