overview

What is the Tuvalu gaming licence?

The Tuvalu gaming licence is a new offshore authorisation issued by the Tuvalu Gaming Authority (TGA) under the Tuvalu Online Gaming Act 2023. Tuvalu is a Pacific island nation, and this is a purpose-built modern iGaming framework designed to compete on cost and speed with names like Anjouan and Tobique.

The appeal is simple: a single licence covers online casino, slots, sports and eSports betting, poker, lottery, bingo, B2B supply and crypto gaming; there is 0% gaming tax; and incorporation in Tuvalu is not required — the licence can be issued to companies incorporated in most jurisdictions (excluding FATF-restricted and sanctioned ones). The process runs from pre-approval to a digital certificate in about three to four weeks, making it one of the quickest formal routes to a live product.

Prediction markets are covered too. In July 2026 the TGA's licensing desk confirmed to us directly that event-based outcome markets fall under the standard Tuvalu gaming licence, provided they operate as entertainment products within the licensing requirements — and that the first prediction-market operators have already been licensed, with more applications in the pipeline. For a stablecoin-settled prediction platform this makes Tuvalu one of the cheapest confirmed routes on the market.

One licence, all verticals Casino, betting, prediction markets, poker, lottery, bingo, B2B and crypto gaming under a single authorisation.
No local company Incorporation in Tuvalu is not required — most jurisdictions of incorporation are accepted.
0% gaming tax No tax on gaming activity — a clean, low-cost structure.
Very fast From pre-approval to digital certificate in roughly 3–4 weeks.

Tuvalu gaming licence FAQ

How much does a Tuvalu gaming licence cost?

The licence fee is around $17,200 for both issuance and annual renewal — one of the most attractive price points in the market. First-year total is higher once company formation, compliance and documentation are included, but gaming tax is 0%.

Do I need a company in Tuvalu?

No. Incorporation in Tuvalu is not required — the licence can be issued to companies incorporated in most jurisdictions, excluding FATF-restricted and sanctioned ones, and those requiring mandatory local licensing.

What does the licence cover?

A single Tuvalu licence covers online casino, slots, sports and eSports betting, poker, lottery, bingo, B2B supply and crypto gaming — no separate permit per vertical. Prediction markets (event-based outcome markets) are covered as well — the TGA's licensing desk confirmed this to us in July 2026, with the first prediction-market operators already licensed.

How fast is it?

The process, from pre-approval to a digital certificate, typically takes about 3–4 weeks — one of the quickest formal routes available.

How does Tuvalu compare to Anjouan?

Both are fast, low-cost, 0%-gaming-tax offshore permits with no local incorporation and crypto covered. Tuvalu is the newer 2023 regime with a slightly quicker turnaround; Anjouan is more established with a public register. We'll help you choose based on your product and where you need recognition.
