Gaming or crypto in Malta?
Malta splits the two between different bodies, with gaming going to the Malta Gaming Authority and crypto to the Malta Financial Services Authority. On the gaming side the fixed annual fee is €25,000 plus compliance contribution; on the crypto side the application fee is €10,000, €20,000 or €25,000 by class (plus annual). The gaming licence is the quicker of the two on our published timelines, 4–6 months against 6–9 months. Capital runs to €40,000–€240,000 (by type) for gaming and €50,000, €125,000 or €150,000 by class for crypto.
